Today we are going to take a look at the Sun in Aries in the 2nd House… otherwise known as Sun in the 2nd House for Pisces Ascendant. When I think about this placement in a symbolic way, I like to imagine a king sitting in his great hall and eating a big, juicy lamb chop — the Sun as the king, Aries as the ram (lamb) and the 2nd House as food and sustenance. Or, considering that the Sun is exalted in Aries, I also imagine this combination creates a strong sense of pride and aggression over the native’s property and resources. To understand this more clearly, let’s review the meanings of the Sun, Aries, and the 2nd House.
The Sun – This is our source of light and visibility. It’s the most noticeable object in the sky, which is why it is associated with attention, recognition, and being seen. As a star, the Sun is linked with prominence, fame, and standing out from the crowd. It also represents children—especially male children—as well as fathers, authority figures, and kings. Because of this, the Sun is often associated with blessings, talents, and things that are considered valuable or fortunate in a person’s life.
Aries – This is the first sign of the Zodiac, and its symbolism revolves around beginnings, initiative, and being first. It is associated with independence, competition, and acting without hesitation. The ram, its symbolic animal, is known for charging forward and making impact through force. As a result, Aries is linked with themes like aggression, directness, collision, and exertion. It also rules the head and reflects instinctive, immediate action.
2nd House – This is the house of what supports and sustains you. It relates to your possessions, your income, and the resources or people you rely on to maintain yourself. It also shows what you crave (have an appetite/taste for) and who or what you depend on to replenish your energy over time. The 2nd House governs your voice, mouth and throat

Now that we have covered the basics, let’s explore some of the possible manifestations of the Sun in Aries in the 2nd House. Please note, these are possibilities – NOT predictions. Making responsible predictions requires a full examination of the native’s birth chart.
Possibility #1
Earning Through Initiative
Since the 2nd House is the house of income and resources, placing the Sun and Aries here can indicate someone who earns through action and initiative. This could be a person who doesn’t wait for opportunities but instead creates them. Whether through entrepreneurship, competitive environments, or self-directed work, their ability to act decisively may directly support their financial stability.
Possibility #2
A Proud & Forceful Voice
Because the 2nd House governs the mouth and voice, adding the Sun and Aries here can produce a speaking style that is confident, bold, and difficult to ignore. Others may experience this person as proud, assertive, or even somewhat aggressive in conversation. Their words may carry a sense of authority (Sun) and intensity (Aries), making their voice a noticeable and defining feature.
Possibility #3
Boosted By Public Victories
The 2nd House doesn’t just apply to food. It also describes who or what motivates and energizes us; what helps refresh our self-esteem and internal spark. If both the Sun and Aries are in the 2nd House, then it’s possible that this person will feel very refreshed and animated if they prevail in public. Maybe they win a sports competition in front of people. Maybe it’s a fight. No matter the context, if victory is there, this native will likely feel very boosted – as long as it’s a public victory!
Possibility #4
“The King of Money”
In my experience, astrology can be surprisingly literal. With the Sun representing a king, Aries symbolizing force and initiative, and the 2nd House relating to possessions, this placement could manifest in something like a title, brand, or identity connected to ownership and control. For example, someone might create a business name, slogan, or persona that emphasizes dominance over resources. Or they may simply take pride in being the one who manages and controls what sustains them.
Possibility #5
Famous For Eating Lamb
As I said, I often find when reading charts that astrology can be very literal – almost comically so. I mentioned in the introduction that Aries in the 2nd house always makes me think of someone who loves to eat lamb. After all, Rams are simply grown up lambs. If we add the Sun to this dynamic as well, it no longer becomes about just having an appetite for lamb or mutton. Now that appetite is becoming visible. People can see it. They notice it and remember it. That is why I said this placement could possibly lead to someone developing a reputation for their lamb-based diet.

As stated earlier, these are possibilities—not predictions. And in all honesty, if you have this placement, there’s a good chance none of these exact scenarios will play out in your life. Does that mean astrology doesn’t work? Or that the interpretation is off? Maybe. But it could just as easily mean that a birth chart has an almost endless number of ways it can express itself.
The real task in astrology is to study your chart alongside your actual lived experience, and to notice how the symbolism shows up for you personally. What I’ve shared here isn’t meant to tell you what will happen—it’s meant to give you something to think about. You have to observe your own patterns, reflect on your habits, and consider how the different pieces of your chart interact. Pay attention to your life. When you do, it’s surprising how often astrology shifts from something abstract into something clear, direct, and even obvious. It can be kind of incredible when it clicks.
